Will AI replace Digital Marketers?

Hello everyone, Damini here, and today, let’s begin with the question I am constantly asked as a digital marketer, and that is,

“Will AI replace Digital Marketers?”

And the unfortunate answer is Yes, it will.

Just look at this headline from Goldman Sachs….

Experts are talking about a so-called “A.I. divide” in the workplace.

Many jobs (300 million, according to Goldman Sachs) are going to be fully replaced, or drastically changed by A.I…

It’s no secret that, sadly, many people will lose it to AI, and whether we like it or not, it’s going to happen anyway (as it is happening as we speak).

But I want you to know that it’s not all doom and gloom, because there’s a positive side to this AI divide,

This guarantees that if you use AI in the right way, you will not only survive in the market but also flourish at an unprecedented rate.

And you can see for yourself that in the last two years, many things have changed in the market, platforms like Google, ChatGPT, and Meta aren’t just social media platforms,

They have gone much beyond this.

And I am not talking about one platform, in just 2 years, you can see that AI has dominated 80% of the systems, whether it’s Google Ads performance, max campaign, or meta ads advantage plus campaign.

And it goes without saying that it would definitely dominate the marketing field soon, and in this blog,

I will tell you 3 such industries where AI is at a rapid pace, so that you can sustain by a long way in these sectors.

The first industry that will see a big shift in the coming years will be that of paid advertising,
And it’s all about Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, or even ChatGPT.

And the latest update on advertising further proves the point.

Before, we mostly used to target the audience based on demography, where we target them based on interest, behaviour, and gender.

But since the recent update, platforms have opened up more towards AI, and hence, AI is targeting our audience.

And since that, targeting just goes beyond demographics, and looks at what is their scrolling pattern, their device usage, and what content the consumer is most aligned with.

And just to number the effectiveness of it, AI has 300+ parameters that it checks before targeting.

And if that was not enough, a recent update of Meta states that they are soon going to integrate tools like Mid Journey and Dali in Meta’s ads manager,

And the reason is simple, currently, as the mechanical/technical side gets handled by AI,

The platforms now want to handle the ad creative part as well, so that work gets easier for people.

And this would further increase the number of advertisers on their platform,

As it would break the barrier for small business owners who don’t have a team to create dedicated ads or optimize them.

Now, as a digital marketer, our competitiveness is measured by how powerfully we can use these AI tools that are integrated in our ad manager, how creatively we use them, and what strategies can be implemented.

Because the goals for the businesses that we want to cater to (medium or large-sized) are not to become completely dependent on AI,

Their goal is to grow themselves, which can only be done by a digital marketer who knows how to properly leverage AI

Be on YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram, as this will ensure your EAT is established.

And as I told in the video, EAT is expertise, authority, and Trustworthiness.

And this is what makes you a brand.

So, instead of relying on discovery and bringing traffic by covering keywords, focus on making a brand, and make sure you are available everywhere.

So, in the future, users will directly search your brand name for any query they might have.

And with that, let’s move on to the final industry where the AI revolution has already arrived, and that is Content Creation.

Now, AI has replaced most of the tasks of content creation, be it scripting, editing, etc.

But as a content creator, if you make your entire process dependent on AI, then there’s no way you can match up to those who use normal or original content.

Or, for example, if you are able to build a cult, something like Varun Maya, you don’t have to worry about views; people would easily connect with you.

But as a freelancer, if you want to utilize AI in the best way, you must make sure that you still remain creative and follow a proper strategy.

And if your content resonates with people properly, you will be able to grow faster.

And while I might have told you these 3 industries with fast fast-changing landscape and increasing opportunities,

The reality is that there are many industries where the market is changing rapidly.

And even though the landscape of digital marketing is changing, I want you to know that digital marketing is not going away.

Instead, it booms more and more with the AI revolution.

So instead of fully relying on AI, or not using them at all,

I want you to start using them creatively and strategically, and further include them in your daily life.
