Let me tell you a story. There used to be a time when businesses focused 80% of their time on developing the business and 20% on marketing it because earlier, word of mouth was considered the best form of marketing.
I am sure you have seen Shark Tank India, and you might also have seen judges talking about how most e-commerce brands resonate with a performance marketing company.
This clears your mindset, that running ads on Facebook or Google or any platform is for your own good, because you know they are going to give you results if you do it in the right way .
But the major question still arises in our mind? How much will Facebook cost us or how much amount do I have to spend in Facebook ads to give me some kind of results and don’t worry, it’s not only you. I always get that question from a lot of people.
Being in this industry for almost 6 years now, I have understood that the cost of Facebook ads, first of all, depends upon what kind of business you have, and how much you are willing to spend on ads.
So let’s not waste a single minute and see how much Facebook ads are going to cost you in coming years and how you can deal with it .
If you have ever done, Facebook ads, you can see that you can run ads with just one dollar which is ₹84, but do you really think this small amount will give you any kind of results? Absolutely no, and that’s why you need to understand how much budget I have to allocate to a particular ad, so I can get better results.
If you are an e-commerce brand, and your products are under low value or mid value, good range, you can easily start running your ads with ₹500 per day.
So for a month, it will cost you around ₹15,000, if you are in the starting phase. Now 500 is a very very basic amount, usually, people use this amount to run awareness or engagement ads.
If you want to generate sales for your business, I usually suggest starting with ₹1000 per day, which comes up to ₹30,000 per month for the first two months where you mostly test your ads and see what kind of audience will work for you.
From the third month, you can increase ₹1000 per day budget to ₹2000 to ₹3000, and it will cost one lakh rupees per month.
So, you need to get your mind straight that running advertisements to get sales for your business or to generate leads for your services is going to cost almost 1 lakh rupees per month for the first 4 to 5 months.
This is just the basic calculation you will be spending money on developing ad creatives, and if you hire some agency or freelance to run Facebook ads for you, that will cost you extra.
Overall, I have seen that normal e-commerce businesses or service based businesses have to spend almost 1.5,00,00 per month, so they can get better results through Facebook ads.

I have seen this shift in the past three years during 2021, people used to spend almost ₹50,000 per month in Facebook Facebook ads, but things have changed, and inflation, of course :)
People are spending at least 1.5,00,00 rupees per month and even more after six months of running Facebook ads because they start getting good results.
This amount may seem pretty huge to you right now, but when things get settled and your ROAS stays neutral for a longer period of time, you will ultimately become profitable, and spending a huge amount on Facebook ads will not be a burden anymore to you.
