9 Facebook Ads Best Practices In 2024 (+Tips For Success)

Are your Facebook strategies not working? are you fed up with trying?

Because lately, I have had a lot of messages from marketers and business owners feeling this way. And some feel like giving up on ads altogether.

And I get it. I do.

Because spending time creating strategies can feel pretty pointless if you are not actually getting any results from it. And it doesn't feel good when you put effort into something you think is great, then you launch it and it seems like no one is interested.

But let me tell you something, Facebook ads have changed a lot in 2024, the way we used to run ads 4 years back is outdated, lots of things have changed and I am pretty sure you would like to know how to stay ahead of the curve.

Advertisers registering themselves on Facebook has increased rapidly over time, competition has increased and even strategies have changed. But, you don't need to worry! Because I am here for you.

To help you stay ahead, here are few things you need to know before planning your next facebook ads strategy.

1. Collaboration with influencers

You might be hearing about how people are using content created by creators in their ads and getting amazing results, Well, they are right! It actually works! Why?

Because your ad will have someone people already know about, which will increase the impact of your ad more compared to a single-image ad or whatever you are doing currently. And this not going to be a strategy just for 2024, last year the revenue share for influencer marketing stood at 21.1 Billion US dollars, and it will increase rapidly over the coming years.

By using influencers in your ads:

  • You create a trustability factor in your ad
  • People trust you more
  • Your ad spend is lowered
  • You get better conversions

2. Broad targeting might be the future

I have spent a handsome amount of money on Facebook ads this year, and the biggest thing I saw was working with broad targeting.

If you have understood the nature and target audience of your business, and if you think broad targeting is something that will definitely help you scale things, you should try it, because it worked well for a lot of businesses I am working for.

I did a dropshipping gig in clothing, and I was pretty surprised to see that broad targeting was giving me better results instead of niche-down targeting. But factors, like good ad creative, ad copy and enough testing made it work.

3. Building Social Proof

Social proof matters more than ever to build trust with your audience. Imagine yourself, will you buy a product from a random website that doesn't have any social media presence? I bet No because you will have trust issues.

You will see every business owner or a brand coming out online to show what they do, and why they do it.

So, that people trust them and build an emotional connection with them.

You need good social proof in front of your audience for your Facebook ads to work better. In an era, where everyone is more present on social media than ever, we need to rethink a good strategy to apply it on our business. You need to be clear about one thing,

The more strong your social media presence is, the better your Facebook ads will perform.

4. Testing Has Become More Important

You launching an ad for the first time and it doesn't perform well, well that's more common than you think because testing has become very very important.

And testing your creatives has become much more important, the way you test your ad creatives can define how much results you are going to get. So, start testing and then think about the results!

Still stuck in Facebook ads? Why don't you check out the E-book "Clicks To Conversions" I launched, because that's the ultimate goldmine of running ads:

5. Nurturing your audience

Once you get the customer don't ask them to buy your another product again instead focus on nurturing or educating them about your brand and products.

I don't say this enough, but having a good relationship with your audience can build their trust and you might get re-purchases very often. Now, its not just about building a relationship, you need to make sure every part of your funnel is so good, that your audience doesn't feel betrayed at any point in time.

How do you do it?

  • Having a good website that doesn't feel spammy
  • Having a good product page
  • Awarding people about what you do
  • Make sure you don't scam anyone
  • Nurturing your previous customers

6. Data Of Audience

This pointer might seem a little confusing but let me explain. In 2024 or the coming years, if you have data on your target audience, you are way ahead of a lot of people.

Because data can help you build a lot of things. I recently tested something. I had two clients: One had the data of their audience and the other one didn't. Let's call them Client A And Client B Respectively

.We fed the existing data of client A to the ads manager, though we did not use the data it helped Facebook to understand what our target audience is and we started getting early results.

What you can do is start collecting the data of your audience and use it in your ads, you will be able to make Facebook understand better what your needs are.

7. UGC Content

I think the biggest change in Facebook ads this year is how creatively people are creating their ad creatives and increasing their conversions.

My team at Wincible also spends most of the time working on ad creatives. There is a big difference between UGC content and influencer videos. UGC content is something that has a concept of "ugly ads".

This means your ads don't seem like ads, you create ads of low quality and it should look like someone random made it. This means you need to make your pretty ads look ugly.

8. Creating Discount Offers

We all love discounted prices and new offers, no matter which business you are in, giving several offers to customers increases engagement and good returns.

If it a season of festivals then start festive offers with high quality ads to make it more appealing. You can take inspiration from big brands like Myntra, amazon or Meesho if you belong to clothing category.

9. Whatsapp Marketing

As per the study, very few percentages of ecommerce website visitors convert into customer, almost 50% of people leave their orders in cart and never buy it again, it's very clear that bringing customers on your website is not enough, and here comes a catch using WhatsApp in your ecommerce can get a you a more sales compared to Email/SMS marketing.

WhatsApp have a open rate of 98% no other methods can come closer to this one whenever we get emails or sms we tend to to ignore it but when somebody pings you on WhatsApp you leave the things aside and open WhatsApp as fast as possible, it seems very personalised even I don't know why!

If you implement these strategies, I am 100% sure you will see a change in your facebook ads.
